The Toledo Clinic And Karmanos Cancer Institute Comprehesive Cancer Center is part of a 60-acre mixed use park, is a joint venture between The Toledo Clinic, Karmanos Cancer Center and a co-development partnership between MDP and Healthplex. The comprehensive cancer center includes clinical office and research space for clinical trials, a pharmacy, infusion center, lab, radiation oncology center, linear accelerator (with room to add a second), physical therapy, advanced imaging center and a conference center.
The University of Toledo and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will also collaborate on research and clinical trials in the new center. Future phases of the park build-out may include a surgical specialty hospital, orthopedic center, assisted living facility, hotel and conference center and retail / entertainment uses.
